Purpose

Create positive content for listeners while promoting women in business.

Process

It was a labor of love to start this podcast, since I was a complete novice stepping into it. The simple step was developing the podcast concept and the interview format, then everything else was a learning curve. Along with being the host, I was the producer, editor, social media manager, content creator, artwork designer, etc. I learned how to work with the podcast equipment using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, edit each episode in GarageBand and setup the hosting site and get listed in podcast directories. I created a social media account on Instagram and a Facebook group to promote the show and create a community of listeners. Perspective

Would I host a podcast again? Yes! I loved engaging with the guests and the listeners. I was happy with the results for the first season with averaging 100 downloads per episode. It was a valuable learning experience with developing a podcast concept, learning to work the equipment and editing software, and promoting each episode on social media. Next time, I will have the supporting cast that can do more of the behind-the-scenes necessities, so I can enjoy my time as the host. Feel free to listen to the first season!
