Email Campaign
by Christy Flater
During the launch of the Hope Gifted Podcast, I had several lead magnets on my website to capture email address that would be used to guide them through an email funnel to nurture relationships and give personalized offers. Below is the “Create a Successful Mindset” email campaign and PDF that I created for this specific lead magnet. The end CTA (call to action) for this particular email campaign was to have them book a introductory coaching call with me after they had gone through the “Create a Successful Mindset” program, so I could evaluate the next best step for them for becoming a prospective coaching client.
DAY 1 - Are You Ready?
Guess what *|FNAME|*? I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions.
Okay, so that’s a strong statement to say, especially if we are meeting for the first time, so let me backtrack a bit. I believe we ought to create a habit of intentional growth and self reflection more than that one time of the year when we are compelled by a date on the calendar.
I find that the reason women have a difficult time taking the next step forward is because they are looking back at the past with a lens of shame and guilt. That is really harsh. We cannot judge our past selves with the knowledge we know now. We must look back with grace and forgiveness in order to look ahead with hope.
There are only two reasons to look at the past; to celebrate our accomplishments (no matter what size) and to learn from the lessons.
Repeat after me: I’m glad I know that now.
This 7 day challenge will be as effective as your willingness to embrace that statement, “I’m glad I know that now.”
Change doesn’t need to take years or decades to occur. Change can happen inside of you as quickly as you are willing to embrace the forward stumble that we all do in this journey of self-improvement.
My hope is that by the end of this challenge, you can believe as I do and no longer create New Year’s resolutions, because you create a habit of intentional growth all throughout the year with these steps.
Here’s a closer look at what you’ll learn and implement:
Day 1: Explore Your Big Picture
Day 2: Awareness & Affirmations
Day 3: Intentional Day vs Hot Mess Day
Day 4: Motivational Model
Day 5: Define Success & Rewards
Day 6: Strengths & Weaknesses
Day 7: Create a Super S.M.A.R.T Goal
So, are you ready *|FNAME|*?!
DAY 2 - Have we met yet?
Yesterday’s email might have been a smidge impolite *|FNAME|*...
I was in such a rush to start the challenge that I totally forgot to introduce myself - and most importantly - find out more about you!
What do you say we do a do-over?!
Let’s go back to 2021 (remember that year after the pandemic?)
> In June 2021, I was married with 3 children and owning a business with a direct sells company.
I adored my life, but was finding my soul felt a little empty, so I started on a spiritual self-improvement journey.
>That’s when my husband said, "why don't you start a podcast?"
It was rocky road at first and there was even a year of taking a hiatus from doing it.
But I could still feel the pull to share the message of hope that I had gained in my journey and the desire to pass it on to others.
> In November 2023, I made the choice to say goodbye to an 18 year career in direct sells.
Was I nervous? Yes! Did I even know what I was doing? No! But I decided to put my faith into action and give it another try with a more intentional purpose than ever before.
> I was determined to figure out this podcasting stuff
I wasn’t qualified like other podcasters, but I loved caring for others, had a major passion for building confidence in women, and enjoyed continuing to learn and grow.
So, I invested in my dream and I haven't looked back since.
> And the journey is still going...
This journey has been bumpy, scary, and exciting, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I’m so grateful for the community of inspiring women that I have met along the way. I wouldn’t be here without taking a chance when I had no idea what I was really doing.
Do you feel as though you are holding yourself back because you aren’t an “expert” or you are scared to chase your dreams?
Now, it’s your turn to build your confidence!
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You don’t have to let your fears hold you back.
For the next 7 days, you will get my best tips and personal application exercises to create a successful mindset to be more intentional in the pursuit of your dreams.
Now, it’s your turn! Feel free to reply to this message and introduce yourself so we can get to know each other better on this journey of self-improvement.
DAY 3 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: Day One
*|FNAME|*, did you stop dreaming? I’m not talking about when we go to sleep at night, but dreaming as a way to use our imagination to achieve what we want in life.
Dreaming is a way we can mentally explore future possibilities. Your big picture is using your imagination to visualize how your life will be different at the other end of achieving consistent goals. It will help you overcome limitations and increase efficiency in yourself and your business and achieve your goals more consistently.
We will discuss how to create a plan to achieve your Super S.M.A.R.T. Goal later.
Right now, take the opportunity to sincerely answer the questions in the Explore Your Big Picture portion of the kit below.
Remember, there is no right or wrong answer. Please base your answers on what you are thinking/feeling and not what you think anyone else wants to hear. This is all about YOU!
PS - If you’re like me, then you like to get the kit all at once instead of piecing it together from each email. I believe in treating people the way that I want to be treated, so I am giving you the entire exercise kit now and will continue to add it to each email going forward in case you need it again.
DAY 4 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: Day Two
Are you willing to be honest in this next exercise, *|FNAME|*?
If so, answer this question to yourself, “if you talked to your friends the way that you talked to yourself, would you have any friends?”
I’m not sure why we are taught to be polite and courteous to others, but have open warfare in our own minds.
You have the choice to either be your worst enemy or your best friend by the thoughts and words that you entertain.
Notice I said the thoughts that you entertain. We all have negative thoughts that pop into our head or negative words that others say to us.
The difference is whether or not we allow those thoughts and words to take a vacation in our brain or even worse, have a permanent residency.
Contrast awareness is the key to having the ability to create more choices in your life through your thoughts.
In the Awareness and Affirmations portion of the kit, you have the opportunity to write down the negative thoughts that are in your brain throughout the day and be more aware of what is actually going on up there.
The next step (and most important step) is to combat those thoughts by creating a positive affirmation that contrasts the negative message.
This is not a one and done exercise, but is a lifelong pursuit in elevating your thoughts to reach a higher level than what the world offers.
There are more tips in the kit below to support you in creating those affirmations.
DAY 5 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: Day Three
Have you ever woken up and started getting ready for a job or for school and then realize it’s your day off? That is evidence of a habit.
Most people find themselves being busier than ever, but the reality is our brain is just filling in the time for us automatically instead of us being on purpose with what we choose to do.
As a person intentionally improving, you will be more on purpose to evaluate your time and the priority and value of where you want to spend it.
In the Hot Mess Day vs Intentional Day portion of the kit, you will track a “hot mess day” with where you are spending your time every 30 minutes to see the habits and opportunities in your schedule.
Then you will have the opportunity to create your “intentional day” by choosing where you would prioritize your faith, family and career.
And remember *|FNAME|* to give yourself grace, because it’s not about creating the perfect day. It’s about creating an intentional day to see the opportunities that are gifted in our schedule.
DAY 6 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: Day Four
Let’s embrace this truth, *|FNAME|*.
Despite your best efforts, things won’t always go as planned.
When things don’t go as planned, your best bet is to remember the motivational model.
When you recognize that EVERYONE goes through the ebbs and flows when achieving a goal then you understand that you can do it too!
There’s no secret sauce or special talent that others have. It is just your consistent daily effort and continued persistence and perseverance that determines the accomplishment of a goal.
This model is shared in the Motivational Model portion of the kit. Take the time to read through each phase and brainstorm ways that you can move through the lapse and slips quicker.
DAY 7 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: Day Five
Success can mean different things to different people.
So do you know what success is to you, *|FNAME|*?
In this exercise, you get the freedom to create that definition based on your thoughts and utilize one of the most powerful motivating techniques - recognition.
Take the opportunity to read more about success and rewards and thoughtfully answer the two questions in the kit under the Define Success & Rewards portion.
Remember, there is no right or wrong answer. Please base your answers on what you are thinking/feeling and not what you think anyone else wants to hear. This is all about YOU!
DAY 8 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: Day Six
Welcome to the front row seat of your self-improvement, *|FNAME|*!
The show that we are watching today is your strengths and weaknesses!
All kidding aside, it takes courage to be honest about your strengths, your weaknesses, your values, how you work with others, and how you learn.
Both our strengths and weaknesses have a purpose on our journey of improvement.
When we accept this truth and seek to understand how they work together, then we thrive in a community of diversity.
We must first be willing to offer ourselves unconditional love, before we can fully extend that love to others.
Go to the Strengths & Weaknesses portion of the kit to find out more on how to recognize and allow them to work together.
DAY 9 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: Day Seven
Have you ever heard the saying, “a dream without a plan is just a wish”?
Well, *|FNAME|*, it’s time to work the strategy on how that dream is going to be created in your reality.
Super S.M.A.R.T. goals are scientifically proven to help people set AND achieve their goals.
In the Create a Super S.M.A.R.T Goal portion of the kit, you will be asked a series of questions to support your process of creating a plan.
Here’s the simple questions you can answer too:
Specific - What exactly do I want to do?
Measurable - How will I track my progress?
Attainable - Is my goal something I can see myself accomplishing with effort?
Relevant - Why is the goal important to me?
Time-based - When will I achieve my goal?
When you plan your work and work your plan, then you change from being a goal setter to a goal getter!
I believe in you!
DAY 10 - Create a Successful Mindset Challenge: What’s next?
You did it, *|FNAME|*! So what’s next?
Remember, imperfect progress is better than perfect procrastination. It is by small and simple actions that great things are created. Give yourself grace and patience as you progress in your personal development.
Now, I am not sure what led you to take this challenge. Your goal could range from starting your path to weight loss to gaining financial freedom from debt.
Whatever it may be, I'm grateful that you took the time to show your commitment to yourself. As Mary Kay Ash said, “the first step is the hardest - making a commitment to yourself, for yourself."
Congratulations on doing just that!
Wherever path you're choosing, I am sending you lots of love, encouragement and big hugs!
When one woman understands how truly amazing she is and what she is capable of accomplishing, then I have completed my mission and I am grateful that you chose me to take you along that journey.
Thank you!
